As
Governor-elect of the Camino Real
Region, I’m proud and excited about the
great Soroptimist work accomplished
during the first year of this biennium.
Thank you for visiting our informative,
ever-changing website to learn more
about the Soroptimist spirit. Please
feel free to contact us or attend a
meeting or event in your local area.
Remember that our mission is to improve
the lives of women and girls in local
communities and throughout the world.
This past summer I had the amazing
opportunity to attend Soroptimist
International’s Convention in Glasgow,
Scotland. Two weeks later I attended a
Governor’s Roundtable meeting and
Professional Development Seminar in
Philadelphia, PA, home of our
federation, Soroptimist International of
the Americas. Empowering woman to live
their dreams, while personally making
wonderful friendships is one of my
favorite aspects of Soroptimist
membership. I hope you join us, and I
have the opportunity to meet you soon,
too..

Welcome to
Camino Real Region!
I invite you to get to know us better
first by exploring our web site and then
by visiting one of our clubs. We have
members eager to tell you about their
rewarding projects to help women and
girls, their successful fundraisers, and
their fun social events, along with the
reasons why they love being a
Soroptimist.
I'm beginning my second year as
Secretary for the Region, and for our
current members, I am available to
assist your clubs with ways to ensure
that your record-keeping and
correspondence reflect the wonderful
work that you do. For prospective new
members or clubs in other regions, I'd
be thrilled to connect you with others
in our Region.
Thank you for your interest. We hope to
see you again soon!

SIA has challenged each one of us to
become a Renaissance Woman and has set
specific goals for us. As your Region

to answer questions you may have or
present a program. Together we can meet
the challenges and successfully achieve
our goals. Please visit my

girls in their local communities and
throughout the world.
It is my pleasure to represent these

I really
like this job as District 3 Director!
My job is to get out and meet those of
you who make up District 3. We are ten
clubs strong and the women in those
clubs are friendly, dynamic, creative
and are women at their best doing their
best for other women.
The other
part of my job, attending Region board
meetings is a joy. The Camino Real
Region Board with Governor Sharon at the
helm is a positive, creative and
energetic team. I feel proud to be part
of that team.
As we start
into the second year of the 2006-08
biennium I invite all of you to join us
at a Camino Real Region event. Please
join us at Leadership Training Retreat
on July 13-14 in Simi Valley or we will
be in your neighborhood for Fall
District Workshops in October. Come
meet us.
